GN'R VIP Packs Cancelled - Or Are They?

Yesterday afternoon, the following message was sent out by the team at I Love All Access:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will not be an Ultimate fan package on the Guns N’ Roses tour in January 2010.

You have two options:

Option 1: Keep your Toronto general admission ticket(s) only. We will refund the difference between the ticket price ($87.32 USD, at today’s exchange rate) and the package price ($207.68 USD per package), to the credit card used to make your purchase. Your ticket will be available at the box office on the day of the show. There is no priority access.

Option 2: Choose a full refund and cancel your order entirely. We will refund your order to the credit card used to make your purchase.

Please note it may take 5-10 business days to credit to your account.

Please let us know your preference by Friday November 20th, 2009 at 5pm Pacific time via e-mail to info@iloveallaccess.com, or simply reply to this e-mail. If we do not hear from you by this time, we will process option 1 for you.
However, in a surprising(?) turn-of-events, Guns N' Roses issued a statement late last night via their new means of communication Facebook and MySpace:
Canadian VIP packages
There's been a miscommunication between us and I Love Access regarding the VIP packages for the Canadian tour. Just sit tight while we work it out.
So, what's the deal? I don't know. Stay tuned.

Discuss.

Slash and Friends at the Mirage

Courtney Love, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, Rob Zombie and drummer Jason Bonham are among the many musicians who will join Slash for his all-star concert in Las Vegas on October 2.

The concert, billed Slash & Friends, celebrates the 20th anniversary of Las Vegas hotel and casino the Mirage.

Other guests include Matt Sorum, Rick Neilsen of Cheap Trick, Rocco Deluca of the Burden and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. (Courtesy of Rolling Stone)

In other news, Slash is auctioning off an autographed top hat to benefit Hollywood Arts, a charity which uses performance, music and media-based education to help homeless, foster care and low-income, high-risk young people, 18 to 24, improve their sense of self-worth, develop thinking skills, master basic educational concepts and receive job-readiness training in a variety of creative disciplines.

Live from the Jungle is an EP by Guns N' Roses that was only released in Japan. Tracks one, four and five were recorded live at London's Marquee Club on June 28, 1987.

This EP is referred to as Live from the Jungle even though the similarly titled song "Welcome to the Jungle" does not appear on the EP. It is named so because part of the large red text on the album's obi strip reads "raibu furomu za janguru", meaning "live from the jungle".

The cover art uses the banned Robert Williams artwork originally (but very briefly) used for Appetite for Destruction.
