Marysol Patton On Her Mom: She Is Really Funny

http://blog.askmichaelcohen.com/wp-content/uploads/Screen-shot-2011-03-01-at-3.07.41-PM.pngFour weeks into Real Housewives of Miami, talks amongst the reality loving community are about everything from Lea Black’s no nonsense communication to Cristy Rice’s party crash. But the biggest standout so far is no doubt Marysol Patton’s mother, who she says is sure to outshine any of the wives.

"She is really funny!" Marysol told Niteside at the Eden Roc Miami Beach. "People love her. She says things and I’m just like, ‘Where does that come from?’ She never hurts anybody, she is just really funny. She will definitely be bringing belly aching laughter."

As we all watched the public relations powerhouse who owns local firm The Patton Group get engaged last week, she admits she wasn’t ever sure the show was meant for her. Or if Bravo even wanted her.

“I thought I was being punked the whole time. I thought they were just letting me film with everybody. I felt like I wasn’t really in it. I didn’t think I was fabulous enough to be in the gang. But in the end, I had fun.“

And she isn’t the only one who has benefitted from her time on TV.

"Also, I thought it would be great for my clients. I knew it would give them more exposure. I think they’re happy I did it now.”

Marysol Patton: The Battle Of Four VS Two

http://img.poptower.com/pic-44282/marysol-patton.jpg?d=1024On the last episode of the Real Housewives of Miami, Cristy Rice crashed Lea Black’s black-tie event and refused to pay for a ticket. This was the first time we clearly saw the two sides drawn by this new cast — Lea, Marysol Patton, Alexia Echevarria, Lea Black and Adriana DeMoura-Sidi against basketball wives Cristy and Larsa Pippen. And the rift you saw on TV is real, Marysol Patton tells Hollywood Life exclusively — it continues “until this day!”

“Everybody is cordial when we have to get together for filming and photo shoots, but you know, there are four of us [Marysol, Alexia, Lea and Adriana] who are friendly and hang out outside of all this filming,” says Marysol. ”There are two [Cristy and Larsa] that do the same as well. You can’t put six strangers together and expect them to all be best friends.”

Marysol, president of public relations firm The Patton Group, in Miami, helped Lea plan the gala. She thinks Cristy’s refusal to pay was way out of line.

“I learned my business doing it for charity,” she says. “Unless you’re a big donor and you have a track record of donating a lot of money, you’re paying before you go. When you don’t have a track record with a charity, everybody knows you don’t do that.”

Marysol’s relationship with her mother, Elsa, is also a highlight of the series. On the premiere, we watched as Elsa bluntly asked Marysol about her sex life. The situation still embarrasses Marysol.

“First of all, she totally ambushed me because I had no idea she was going to do that,” Marysol shares. “I was totally uncomfortable. She may not be Victorian, but I think I am a little bit. I kept looking at the camera people and at her like, ‘What is going on right now?’ Talk about sex? Obviously that wasn’t a conversation that I’ve had with my mother before. I was genuinely taken aback, nervous and uncomfortable with the whole thing. She just says whatever because she has nothing to lose.”

But overall, Marysol loves her mother’s humor. “She’s just naturally hysterical,” Marysol says. “I just have bellyaches from the stuff that comes out of her mouth. She doesn’t hurt anyone’s feelings — not at anyone’s expense — it’s just this crazy stuff that comes out of her mouth that’s hysterical. It’s just good, clean fun.”

Meet 'Miami Housewife' Marysol Patton's Fiance

http://starcasm.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Philippe-Pautesta-Marysol-Patton.jpg?ggnoads

In a preview for tonight’s premiere of the Real Housewives of Miami, PR maven Marysol Patton discusses her relationship with a Frenchman by the name of Philippe with her outspoken mother Elsa. The conversation progresses to the topic of sex which makes Marysol a little uncomfortable. With a little prodding Miss Patton states that this Philippe is:
“Fantastic in every way and that’s as far as I’m going with this conversation mother.”
In the series preview video released by Bravo we are shown this fantastic French lover proposing to Miss Patton with a huge ring. She says yes and in a recent promotional interview with NBC 6 out of Miami Marysol stated that she is, “still working on her engagement.”

http://starcasm.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Philippe-Pautesta-2.jpgAfter doing a little digging, Darren of Starcasm was able to dig up the identity and some bio info for this mystery man in Marysol’s life, Mr. Philippe Pautesta.

Pautesta has recently started a Twitter page in which, as of this post, he’s only followed by 5 people one of them being Marysol of course. Fab-Philippe is only following two people with one of them being his bride-to-be Patton. His Twitter account has a link to a PHP Enterprises USA and it is here where we get some solid background information on the Frenchman rocking Marysol’s world.

In the History section under Gourmand at Home Catering it says of the business and Philippe that:
“Gourmand at Home” is a catering and event planning service created by Philippe Pautesta-Herder. After spending years in Manhattan working in the Restaurant Business, Event Production and Landscape Design (With Cole Creates owned by Rebecca Cole from the TV show “Surprised By Design”), Philippe moved to Miami in 2004 and started PHP consulting, a boutique restaurant consulting firm.

In 2007 PHP Enterprises USA was born and expanded to catering consulting. Philippe then decided to combine his knowledge of the Food industry and his experience in production, and created “Gourmond at Home” a combination of fine dining and event planning.
Sounds like we have ourselves a match made in PR, consulting, catering and reality TV heaven! But then again the two are “still working on their engagement” according to Patton. You think theses two would have the planning part of that whole deal covered!

Marysol Patton Talks About Being Part Of RHOM

http://img.poptower.com/pic-44282/real-housewives-of-miami.jpg?d=600Bravo is bringing another group of feisty women to the small screen in the Real Housewives of Miami. And the big question is: what should we expect from this new group of ladies?

Marysol Patton, a public relations powerhouse in Miami with a long list of celebrity clients, is one of them who will surely captivate audiences everywhere.

Viewers can expect to see some hot Miami drama, when Patton tries to play nice with five other lades, which include: Lea Black, Larsa Pippen, Alexia Echevarria, Cristy Rice, and Adriana DeMoura-Sidi.

In an exclusive interview with Celebrity News Service, Patton talks about how it all began.

CNS: How were you approached about being on the show?

MP: The casting director called The Patton Group and asked us for recommendations of amazing women. One of my employees recommended I go and the rest is history

CNS: Have you watched the other Real Housewives? And what was going through your mind before filming began for RHOM?

MP: I had seen the first season of Real Housewives of Orange County which I really liked. When we were filming I knew that our show was going to be very different from all of the others ones as our cast is very different and the tone was turning out to be light, humorous and upbeat!

CNS: How well do you know the other ladies of RHOM?

MP: I have known Alexia, Lea and Cristy for many years and since we started filming, obviously have gotten to know Adriana & Larsa as well.

CNS: What can viewers expect to see in RHOM? -- at least from you? With the other girls?

MP: I think the viewers will see a very eclectic mix of women - 3 of Cuban decent, a Brazilian and a Texan – which that alone is an explosive yet very fun combination. The viewers will also see me trying to balance my time between running my busy PR firm and my romantic life

CNS: Will viewers get to see you at work, hanging out with other celebrities, spending time with your family?

MP: Viewers will see me in my office, where I spend most of my time, running the day to day operations of my company and at different celebrity events that The Patton Group is brought on to run the red carpets for and of course, with my family.

CNS: What was it like being followed by cameras? How was that experience? Did you get used to it? Was it difficult at first?

MP: I have always been notoriously shy. For years I shied away from cameras at my events that wanted a sound bite. In the beginning I was very nervous about being in front of the camera but after I while I didn’t even notice they were there anymore and that can be very dangerous.

CNS: What have you learned from your experience doing the show?

MP: At most, I’ve learned how to keep my company in the forefront of my focus, while balancing the show and making time for my loved ones and friends….a healthy fusion of balance and spirituality.
